I attended the TBD Conference and learnt that I have no appetite for virtual conferences any more. Not even one as good as TBD. Or, perhaps: especially not one as good as TBD.
I think I learnt that there is a lot of angst in the world, perhaps leftover from Covid and built up before. Several of the TBD talks were of the “let’s all stick together” variety, which is different from previous years.
I learnt more about AI in education though the short version seems to be, “Not yet, but watch this space.”
Reading, watching, listening
Interesting business stuff this week:
Conference, health issues, and a busy week at work meant that this was not a good week for learning.
Interesting tech stuff this week:
What I am reading now:
Value Proposition Design by Strategyzer. Re-reading this with the team. The book is ten year’s old and still be most practical, visual, and downright enjoyable guide to the subject I know. We are going to finish it on Monday.
Scaling People - Tactics for management and company building by Claire Hughes Johnson. Stripe Press.
Until next week: Travel well, whichever road you are on 👋.
